Northampton High School is an independent day school for girls aged from 3 – 18 years. The school is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) and has an excellent academic record, and provides outstanding facilities for art, drama, music, science and technology, as well as a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports.
Northampton High School wanted to implement a digital signage solution to further engage with the students and provide a more efficient way to deliver messages.
The core requirement of their new internal communication system was that it could be networked and sit within their internal network infrastructure. Northampton High School wanted to place screens in key locations around the hallways of the school for main focal points and also implement a large display within the Junior School to provide a big impact for the parents on arrival.
Eclipse Digital delivered a secure, reliable and networked digital signage solution using ONELAN Digital Signage hardware.
A Publisher was installed in the main IT data room and individual subscribers were placed behind each of the commercial displays installed in the hallways. Each one of the subscriber and screens can be updated individually or simultaneously.
For the desired maximum impact in the Junior School, we supplied and installed a 4 screen video wall consisting of Samsung 46″ video wall displays driven by a ONELAN subscriber all updated from the central Publisher.

NOTTINGHAM GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL
Nottingham Girls High School is an independent high school for girls aged between 4 and 18 years old. The high school is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) which is the leading network of independent girls’ schools in the UK.
Nottingham Girls High School wanted to update the way they communicate information internally to students, teachers and visiting parents and guests.
They required a networked digital signage solution that sat within their internal network infrastructure and could be updated centrally but also locally if required. They also required the ability to stream live freeview TV to some of the screens.
Eclipse Digital provided a network of ONELAN digital signage hardware to meet Nottingham Girls’ High Schools requirements. Using a Publisher with freeview DVB-T card built in to manage and distribute the content with various subscribers located around the school to poll content.
We installed an array of screens from 40″ to 55″, all of commercial grade and full HD. Screens were installed at the main reception, atrium, sixth form communal area, the canteen and the staff room. We also provided a 46″ freestanding digital totem in the junior school entrance which is portable to allow it to be used in various locations.
Eclipse Digital designed and developed the initial content, supplied, installed and configured all hardware and provided on site training for updating the system.

Trinity is a primary school based in Radstock, Somerset. It has an inclusive policy, upholding a Christian ethos and welcoming children of all faiths and denominations and those with none, equally. The Academy of Trinity is an award winning school, achieving ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted status in 2009 and it’s headteacher, Mrs Hart, won The Pride of Britain Awards Headteacher of the Year Award in 2008.
The Academy of Trinity wanted a strong way of communicating to both students and their parents, the weekly events, achievements and photos of the school. Trinity wanted to communicate these messages in key areas of the school including the main reception area and an outdoor area where parents would pick up their children from. Trinity specified that they did not want to have to update each screen individually and needed a system that would be quick, easy and cost-efficient to update.
Eclipse Digital implemented a digital signage network that included one publisher box and two subscribers. One subscriber supplies content to a 42″ interior screen mounted in the main reception area of the school.
The second subscriber unit supplies content to be displayed on a weather proof, exterior 55″ Aqualite screen in the parents waiting area outside the school.

All content on the digital signage layout is customisable by the school and updated each week with the up coming events, photos from previous school events and important messages from the school.

STRETHAM AND CLAPHAM HIGH SCHOOL
Streatham & Clapham High School is an independent, academically selective school for girls aged 3–18, offering an inspiring, enlightened and intellectually challenging education in a lively, vibrant and warmly supportive environment. The School is in the top 25% of independent schools in terms of its 2012 A Level results.
Stretham and Clapham High School were looking at enhancing the new sixth form common room for the start of the 2012/13 academic year. Their core objectives were to communicate key messages from the school to the students at the same time as giving them the ability to watch TV channels and provide them with national news stories.
Eclipse Digital Media implemented a streamlined, cost efficient digital signage solution that included one publisher NTB with a TV capture, four screens and a VGA splitter unit.
By connecting the freeview TV box the school already had installed to the Publisher, the NTB was configured to display the freeview channels within a main zone of the digital signage layout. We added a BBC News RSS feed to the bottom part of the layout and on the right side, provided zones for the school to update with relevant information.

Once the screens were installed in the common room, an output cable was taken from the NTB to the VGA splitter and then the signal was split to the four screens, showing the same layout information on the screens.
