HIGH BRIGHT

Window displays use high bright LCD panels to make sure they are readable in direct sunlight. Brightness is usually expressed as a numerical value of nits. A nit is a unit of luminance measurement, or intensity of visible light, meaning the higher number of nits, the brighter the screen.

We would recommend atleast 1500nit brightness for any screen that is placed in a street facing window, which is upto 5 times brighter than a domestic TV. But ultimately it would depend on how much sunlight the screen usually receives.

If the screen is not bright enough, similar to when a TV gets too much sunlight, it would become hard to read and could appear blank.

BLACKENING RESISTANT

Window displays, using their high brightness panel, can withstand surface temperatures of up to 110℃. This is crucial for any outward-facing screen, with exposure to direct sunlight, as this stops it suffering from any blackening defect.

The internal temperature control, using internal airflow, keeps the panel and other internal components at their optimal working temperature. This ensures a long and reliable life of your screen, even when used 24/7.

DOUBLE SIDED

New to the market are double sided displays. These offer two LCD panels inside one enclosure, giving you the ability to have one facing inwards and the other to entice customers inside.

The ultra high bright 3500nit panel would be used to face outwards, whilst the inward facing display would be a 1000nit panel. The ultra high bright panel would grab the attention of onlookers and entice them inside where the message can be enforced on the inward panel.

Options for freestanding or ceiling hung are available

MOUNTING OPTIONS

Window displays are very versatile and offer multiple mounting options, depending on the space you have available.

Firstly, and most popular, would be freestanding. Freestanding is offered from an additional stand or using a floor/ceiling pole mounting solution.

The other option would be to hang the screen from the ceiling. Again there are different ways to do this, with one being using the ceiling mount provided, or using a pole mounting solution.

Alternatively, and usually used in estate agencies, would be the rod powered displays. These are 15″ screens that are mounted from the ceiling, where they are connected and powered through the rods supplied, meaning no additional cabling is required.
